High Technology Institute

-U.S. Department of Labor Aerospace Grant

The President's High Growth Job Initiative provides funds for the U.S. Department of Labor to award a $1m grant to the Houston-Galveston Area Council and the Aerospace Academy to train aerospace industry employees. This currently offered advanced level training focuses on information technology, design manufacturing, and Safety Related Leadership Training. Trainees consist of employees from 35 local aerospace industry employers and other persons desiring employment in the aerospace field.
