Registration Information
-TWC Skills Development Fund Courses are reserved for NASA/JSC civil servants and participating aerospace industry companies associated with the SDF Grant. (Please see the Participating Company list.)
Training Coordinators:
1. Receive email notifications of classes approved for personnel under the Grant and monitor Aerospace Academy website for schedule updates.
2. Notify approved personnel of opportunities to take classes.
Trainees:
1. Look for class schedules on the web or in an email from training coordinators
2. Gain approval of your Training Manager to take a class. This is needed since time away from normal duties requires approvals.
3. Fill out application completely and submit or fax to your employer/company HR or Training Representative (Each company will designate internal processes for gathering forms).
4. Look for the confirmation email from your company training coordinator. Confirmations are sent within 2-3 days of receiving registration form in the Aerospace Academy office. Cancellation notices will be sent out to Training Coordinators and registered employees only.
5. Attend class using your normal charge number for class attendance time, learn, pass the test, and perform with excellence.
Company HR or Training Representatives:
1. Receive applications
2. Verify all information is correct and forms are filled out completely.
3. Company Representative must approve the application.
4. Training Coordinators fax completed registration forms to the attention of Christina Beall at 281-929-4688. Classes will be filled on first come first served basis.
5. Receive confirmations and/or cancellations then distribute notices to students.
REGISTRATION IS CONFIRMED ONLY AFTER RECEIPT OF REGISTRATION FORM. SPACES WILL BE RELEASED TO WAIT LISTED PARTICIPANTS IF FORMS ARE NOT RECEIVED 2 DAYS PRIOR TO START DATE.
Please cancel registrations for employees who are unable to attend so the space will be available for wait listed participants: Christina Beall (281) 669-4703. Substitutes are not allowed due to wait lists.
Texas Workforce Commission Requirements
All of the following data must be provided on the registration form. The registration form must be fully completed in order to enroll in any TWC grant-supported class. Participation is voluntary. Incomplete registration forms will not be processed for enrollment. |
Required trainee data: Name of participant, address of participant, telephone numbers of participant, e-mail address, employer at class start, job title, participant hourly salary, participant date of birth, participant social security number, American citizen/U.S. work status/authorized to work in U.S., gender, ethnicity, veteran status, disabled, registered in selective service if male, start date of program, education level, participant signature and company approval to participate. |
Trainee Requirements : |
Participants must have an associates or baccalaureate degree (or higher), or comparable work experience and be employed by a participating partner company. They will be screened and enrolled to assure they have sufficient prerequisite skills, drive, and initiative and are computer and technology proficient as appropriate to complete the training. In addition, participants must pass a competency-based post-test to determine achievement. |

Participants may not take classes while on vacation or release time.
