Jason Project is the web site for the Jason Project, which is a multi-disciplinary program that sparks the imagination of students and enhances the classroom experience.  From oceans to rain forests, from polar regions to volcanoes, the JASON Project explores Planet Earth and exposes students to leading scientists who work with them to examine its biological and geological development.  Appropriate for elementary school and high school students.

National Ocean Service is a comprehensive presentation of the many facets of National Ocean Service.  The National Ocean Service is a part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and is the nation’s principal advocate for coastal and ocean stewardship.  Appropriate for college students.

The NOAA Central Library Teachers' and Students' Corner provides links to over 100 NOAA educational sites as well as links to many other Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric educational sites.  It also links to organizations devoted to science education and/or the use of new technologies to facilitate teaching and learning.  Appropriate for all age groups.

Oceanlink includes links to “Ask a Marine Scientist,” “Answer Archive,” “OceanInfo” (pages on interesting marine topics), and “Career Info.”

Sea Links contains links to a large selection of ocean and aquarium sites.  This extensive collection of links is divided into sections and subsections, including “Marine Life,” “Marine Invertebrates,” etc.  Appropriate for all age groups.

Smithsonian Ocean Planet is based on Ocean Planet, which premiered at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History from April 1995 to April 1996.  This electronic online companion exhibition contains all of the text and most of the panel designs and images found in the traveling exhibition.  Appropriate for all age groups.

Tsunami provides general information about tsunamis.  This site has been developed with a broad audience in mind; consequently, it contains extensive background information that is intended primarily for the general public, including information about the mechanisms of tsunami generation and propagation, the impact of tsunamis on humankind, and the Tsunami Warning System.  The site also contains more detailed information about recent tsunami events that will be of interest to tsunami and interdisciplinary researchers.
